He also spoke to the leaders of the group and put up an absolutely great slide of a bugle next to a plunger (although I had heard this reference several times in my career, it wasn’t until I saw this slide that it became crystal clear) those that are wearing the plungers are destroying our business, those that are proudly wearing the bugles and leading from the front are making a difference………which one are you wearing………I truly hope it’s the bugle proudly. Chief Frieders quite frankly had the room in the palm of his hand, his presentation was phenomenal and spot on and most of all moving! The Chief tells it like it is as it relates to some of the things we’re doing “wrong” in the fire service that continue to put our members at a much higher risk of cancer. Chief Frieders, THANK YOU for everything you’re doing to “live your legacy”, clearly you’re making a difference!
